Tree & Log Removal FAQ's
TREE AND LOG REMOVAL FAQ's
Q. Do you charge for tree and log removal?
A. Sometimes. Pricing depends on the type and amount of wood, access, and whether cutting or machinery is required. We provide a quote after viewing photos or doing an on site check.
Q. What makes a job free vs chargeable?
A. Species, size, access, and whether cutting or machinery is needed. High value wood with excellent access is often free or paid.
Q. Do you buy logs?
A. Yes, we sometimes purchase high value logs such as Pine, Gum or other hardwoods when access is excellent.
Q. Do you remove standing trees?
A. Yes. We can fell smaller areas ourselves, and we partner with local arborists for larger or more complex jobs. Because we handle the log removal, this is often more cost effective than a standard arborist quote.
Q. Can you remove green (fresh) wood?
A. Absolutely, freshly cut or storm fallen wood is fine for us to collect.
Q. Do you take branches or green waste?
A. Generally no, unless it’s part of a larger job with easy access. We can create a tidy burn pile for you to deal with later.
Q. Do you remove stumps?
A. Stump grinding or stump removal isn’t part of our standard service, but we can arrange quotes if needed.
Q. What areas do you service?
A. We cover Hamilton, surrounding rural areas, and nearby towns. For larger jobs, we often travel further, just ask.
Q. Can you access rural or tricky properties?
A. Yes, as long as our truck can safely reach the wood. Steep banks or difficult terrain may require machinery.
Q. How soon can you come out?
A. Availability varies depending on workload and weather. Once we receive your request or photos, we can confirm a timeframe.
Q. What information helps you give a faster quote?
A. Photos of the wood, the accessway, and a rough idea of quantity (e.g., “one large tree”, “pile of logs”, “storm damage across driveway”).
Q. Do you clean up the site afterwards?
A. Yes, we can tidy the area once the wood is removed or leave a neat burn pile if preferred. Full section clearing can be discussed.
Q. Do you repurpose the wood?
A. Yes. All collected wood is processed and used for firewood.
